Other Bowls Competitions

Thursday, 14th March 2024:

It definitely wasn’t the best weather that the ladies from Uraidla & Meadows had to bowl in today in the preliminary-finals! But, the rain and cold did not deter them from giving it their all and best shot.

As a matter of fact, after what seemed to be like a slow start (we’ll blame the weather for that), the bowling on the two rinks progressed to nail-biting bowls for sure! So hats off to all the ladies for their determination and staying their usual calm under such pressure.

Even having to take a short break due to the rain did not take their focus off what was at stake, and it was head-to-head afterwards and until the very end.

The 16 ladies bowling today can definitely all give themselves a pat on the back for how far they have come in this 2023/2024 season.

For the team that will now not be competing in the Final – only by the narrowest of margins one might add: You can be proud of yourselves nonetheless for your excellent bowling and what you’ve achieved.

On various occasions the Gumeracha BC hosts bowling events and competitions on behalf of the Hills Bowling Association.
